“For Simran, food has always been more than just something on the table — it’s how stories are shared, traditions are carried forward, and people are brought together.”
Raised in a home where recipes were passed down through generations, she developed a deep appreciation for the flavour, culture and moments that food creates.
Today, as the face of Flavour & Co, Simran brings that heritage into a modern context — reimagining familiar South Asian flavours into something refined, approachable and made for how we gather today. From pastry through to the newest additions in the range, every product carries that same idea: real, rooted flavour, made effortless to share.

The Spark
Simran starts combining her heritage recipes with classic buttery pastry, right in her home kitchen.
Plate of Origin
Represents India on Channel 7's national cooking show, winning judges over with bold, familiar flavours.
Market stalls
Before going online, Simran takes her pies straight to Sydney's markets — proving the product one customer, one conversation at a time.
Going live
Under the name My Team India, our website launches — bringing handcrafted gourmet pies direct to foodies across Sydney.
Into a commercial kitchen
We step out of the home kitchen and into a licensed commercial kitchen, scaling up to meet growing demand.
Our own facility
We move into our own dedicated, HACCP-certified facility, and land our first major wholesale partner.
Bringing people together
Holi Mela reminds us why we started: sharing pies and colour with the community. And as more hotels, caterers and cafes discover us, wholesale becomes a natural extension of that same spirit — feeding more gatherings, just at a bigger scale.
